Stay away from cheese, let me explain why.

Cheese is concentrated milk, so whatever amount of fat you had in your milk was doubled in your cheese…it’s eating chunks of starchy food oil :(. Since cheese is so fatty I tend to stay away from it, but having it in small amounts is fine, just don’t have it in everything you choose to eat.

I go to Taco Bell often with my family to get a tasty cheap lunch, but everything there mostly has cheese in everything. So how do you avoid it, still get great flavor and stay healthy in one meal? Here is what I do…I normally order 3 soft taco’s with lettuce and ground beef, I also ask the taco’s to be without cheese. To get the great flavor in a soft taco I just add their Taco Bell sauce inside all three soft taco’s and I get a great lasting flavor throughout all three taco’s. If I want chips and dip on the side I don’t take the cheese dip and I have my chips with Taco Bell sauce, lol still tasty with a spicy tang :D. This is just one location I go with my family for food, I also go to a few other places…

Round Table. Yeah, sometimes my family and I can’t resist the awesome flavor of cheesy pizza. Having pizza every now and then is ok and since I live in America I get it modern style lol. When I walk up to the counter with my parents they order an extra large pizza with extra sauce and we find our spot to sit waiting for the pizza. Normally they hand us cups for soda or water and I now always get the water, Round Table usually has a salad bar, so with it they had a few lemons by the soda fountain, I squeezed some lemons in my water and the flavor was great, perfect replacement for soda :D. I go back to sit down and the pizza is done and brought over for us to enjoy, I grab my slice of pizza, but before I eat I get up and go to the salad bar and grab a large amount of salad so I won’t eat to much pizza. After that I go back and have two slices of pizza (if you can try to keep your amount of pizza to two slices) and then my salad, it’s great and I get whatever healthy thing I want on it that appeals to me. Then afterwards we get up and leave, I feel pretty good about my self when we go and energized because I had a great balanced diet without to much cheese, I don’t have to feel guilty at all, just healthy :D

Now you know what I do to avoid too much cheese, in some places like Taco Bell I avoid it completely, but in places like Round Table I balance the cheese I have on my pizza with lemon water and a healthy salad, it’s not that hard to avoid cheese. Just take simple steps to avoid it, if your having a sandwich and normally have cheese replace it with a layer of lettuce/tomatoes instead or if you still want cheese on your sandwich only add a small amount and have a healthy snack on the side, it’s that easy and simple to do :D.

Stay posted for the next step :D

Weight Losing Tips: Third Step

Like my mom says “everything in moderation” take your time while eating, have a balanced diet :D

This is one of the MOST IMPORTANT STEPS OF LOSING WEIGHT AND KEEPING A BALANCED DIET!! Having a balanced meal is essential to losing weight it’s a *must*. If you view the previous step that dealt with staying away from cheese I had pizza and balanced the amount of cheese I consumed with a large portion of salad, that is a *Very Good* balance, perfect for your body :D.

Then there is a second important part to this, “everything in moderation”. My mom always says to eat in a good moderate direction, take it easy, have something healthy to go with something starchy or oily just like I was explaining above paragraph. Sometimes for lunch at my house I eat left overs from last night, some times it’s pasta or burritos, for lunch though this time I had pasta :D. Normally the pasta is done with thick noodles, the sauce consists of Alfredo sauce, chicken pieces and broccoli. Now this is a completely balanced meal for dinner, but for lunch I normally have an orange or an apple to go with it, you need more energy in the day and a functioning body in every single area inside and out.

The last but not least part of this whole step is very small but important, chewing your food slowly. For me I used to gobble down food without a second thought and not chew it down properly, now I consume my food slowly and speak more often at the table while eating a great meal. Why do I do this? I do this so my body can take the nutrients out of the food properly and waiting for my brain to catch up with how much I am eating, it takes twenty minutes for your brain to realize how much you have taken in to eat…so it’s important to take your time, at dinner time normally your in no rush, take it easy and relax. This is a great way of losing weight and staying healthy :D.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the next step =D.

Weight Losing Tips: Fifth Step

Drink plenty of water.

WATER, LOT’S of water :D. Water is one of the bases of life, water keeps you moving, keeps you healthy and strong, cleanses your body of impurities, helps fight the common cold and sooo much more :D.

But what else can it do for those who are over weight or unhealthy? Well I drink (at least) eight ounces daily, sometimes I personally drink more since I am a bigger person and need much more water :D. When I started drinking eight cups daily I heard it from my mom who heard it from my uncle (ROFL long story) and my mom said he was losing weight. He originally had a small gut but when he drank the right amount of water he cleansed his body from extra fat. Intrigued by what my mom said I decided to drink the the recommended amount of water. I had at least 3 inches of flab around my was pretty sad and wanted SOMETHING to help me with my weight problem, when I started drinking 8 ounces of water a day I noticed results within a month! I (finally) could walk around my neighborhood without getting tired, I could fit in a pair of jeans or shorts without feeling embarrassed that my sides would stick out to far. It was and still is a wonderful experience…

Then when I wanted to learn more about what it could do for me I looked up the human body benefits from water on Google…and the following I am quoting is from Hdor Chester Health.org:

* Water helps regulate our body temperature through perspiration, which dissipates excess heat & cools our bodies.

* We even need water to breathe! As we take in oxygen & excrete CO2, our lungs must be moistened by water. We lose about 1 to 2 pints of water each day just exhaling.

* Asthma is frequently relieved when water intake is increased. Histamine plays a key role in regulating the way the body uses & distributes water & helps control the body’ s defense mechanisms. In asthmatics, histamine level increases with dehydration. Our defense for the body is to close down the airways.

* The kidneys remove wastes such as uric aced, urea & lactic acid, all of which must be dissolved in water. When there isn’t sufficient water, those wastes are not effectively removed, which may result in damage to the kidneys.

* Water lubricates our joints. The cartilage tissues found at the ends of long bones & between the vertebrae of the spine hold a lot of water, which serves as a lubricant during the movement of the joint. When the cartilage is will hydrated, the two opposing surfaces glide freely, & friction damage is minimal. If the cartilage is dehydrated, the rate of “abrasive” damage is increased, resulting in joint deterioration & increased pain.

* The actively growing blood cells in the bone marrow take priority over the cartilage for the available water that goes through the bone structure.

* Rheumatoid joint pain frequently decreases with increased water intake & flexing exercises to bring more circulation to the joints.

* 75% of the upper body weight is supported by the water volume that is stored in the spinal disc core. 25% is supported by the fibrous materials around the disc. The spinal joints are dependent on different hydraulic properties of water which is stored in the disc core. Back pain is frequently alleviated with hydration.

* Brain tissue is 85% water. Although the brain is only 1/50th of the body weight, it uses 1/20th of the blood supply. With dehydration, the level of energy generation in the brain is decreased. Depression & chronic fatigue syndrome are frequently results of dehydration.

* Migraine headaches may be an indicator of critical body temperature regulation at times of “heat stress.” Dehydration plays a major role in bringing on migraines. Dehydration causes stress & stress causes further dehydration.

Wow :D that’s why it is so good to drink plenty of water, think of the benefit’s, if you do this you will change your life in a GOOD way :D, take it from me drink plenty of water, take a water bottle/container where ever you go so you gain wonderful benefits :D

Weight Losing Tips: Seventh Step

Let’s go in-depth on a completely balanced diet.

The perfect balance diet consists of fruits, meats, bread/grains and veggies. You have to eat healthy, but that does not mean you HAVE to choose a fruit or vegetable you don’t enjoy or are allergic to :D. Choose your favs, it’s supposed to be enjoyable and not something you want to stray from lol. Me I’m allergic to dates, their tasty I love them but cant have them…so I have my other favorites, pineapple, apples, oranges, strawberries, grapes and I tend to just have those in my fruit diet. For my meats I would have some ground beef, chicken and fish (I LOVE salmon). For bread I have cereal, french bread (it’s really thick tasty fresh bread that SO hit’s the spot for me when I need food fast :D). For grains I have oatmeal, cream of wheat and cereal that consists of grains. For veggies I have celery, carrots, lettuce and mushrooms.

This is my daily diet, my food pyramid, this is just for an example though. Try to find ways of making your perfect balanced diet, things you enjoy to eat and still fit into the right categories :D.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the next update =D.

Weight Losing Tips: Eighth Step

Check out the latest post called Ninth Step

Well we’ve discussed a healthy balanced diet, now let’s talk about aerobics and exercise.

If your just starting out and have no idea how to start working out, I have a few suggestions for you :D.

1. Take a walk.

Just like that, go out of your home location and walk around your area. It doesn’t need to be very long for starters, just fifteen minutes of your time everyday will help you get you started. When you feel fifteen minutes isn’t enough just increase the amount of time you walk for, and don’t increase to much, just to the point you think you can handle then upgrade again after you feel that it’s still not enough…

2. Start jogging.

After a while you may feel that just walking isn’t enough, you have enough energy to start at another level. Try jogging, just do the same thing you would do before for fifteen minutes everyday. It’s hard but I know you can get used to it :D.

3. Step into basic workouts.

You might now feel very energized at this point, try moving up to basic workouts. Pushups (on your knees if you have to for starters), squats, jumping jacks and crunches are some of the basics…(if you don’t know how to do these basic work outs go on over to this website: http://www.myfit.ca/exercisedatabase/exercise.asp. It will teach you how to do these exercises :D) By the way, when you work out take it easy. You are just beginning and don’t need to tire yourself out so quickly, separate the amount you do per exercise session into three sets of five as a beginning amount.

These are just the beginning steps, stay tuned for the next step :D.
